The Healthcare Provider’s Council of Pierce County (HCPC) held their annual All Star Caregiver Awards reception last month at Weatherly Inn, Tacoma. It was an evening filled with laughter, tears, but especially appreciation for all the amazing Pierce County caregivers who were nominated and in attendance. The awards committee received 97 nominations this year, recognizing the work and efforts of these frontline caregivers, whether they work in homes, facilities, or are volunteers. These often-unsung heroes of our healthcare community mean so much to the many families, clients, and residents that rely on their service. Over 150 people gathered at the outdoor summer event to show honor and appreciation to these caregivers, as 15 were selected as “All Stars” among their peers. Advanced Health Care had 12 caregivers in total nominated and a record setting four top “All Star” award recipients among this distinguished group. Their nominations and stories were shared aloud, as awards and hugs were handed out. The caregivers were celebrated and applauded by their co-workers, clients, family, friends, employers, and the many healthcare professionals in attendance that evening.
HCPC, the non-profit group that we are members of, consists of more than 150 senior focused Pierce County business and members who are dedicated to enhancing the network of professionals in this industry and supporting seniors with financial programs and charitable donations. On average, HCPC donates over $15,000 annually to senior related charities and programs here in the local Pierce County area. This event not only serves to shine a spotlight on direct care professionals throughout the community, but it also serves as a fundraiser for HCPC’s gifting funds.
Congratulations to all our nominated 2022 caregivers:
